Vocalist, songwriter and composer, Colton Frost, has performed and recorded with some of the most highly innovative artists in music today whic includes Lenny White, Patrice Rushen, John P. Kee, David Gilmore, Vince Evans, Michael Urbaniak, Donald Blackmon, Gino Morris and Tatiana Okupnik. He has appeared in over 30 recordings and just recently toured in Poland and London. As a vocalist and lyricist, Colton Frost is committed to pushing the boundaries of traditional music. His music reflects the broad influences and experiences he has assimilated in his life. Drawing upon the training he received in his roots of gospel, soul, R&B and pop music, the exploration of sound and lyrical content is a major component of his music.

 

In 2004 he established Platinum Thoughts Entertainment, a music production and publishing platform through which he brings his musical creativity to life. In September 2006 went on tour with Lenny White and Polish superstar Tatiana Okupnik, formally of the group Blue Café. There they opened for Jay-Z and Shaggy. The same year he collaborated with  Lenny White, rap artist Cabby and Okupnik to co-write and produce her first solo album which went gold in 2007. They later opened for the Rolling Stones Bigger Bang Tour. In 2008 Frost participated in projects for Tatiana Okupnik and Nikki Richards, (the lead background vocalist for Madonna.) Colton also teamed with Imperia Music Group to release the album Mystic Gumbo. The project explored various genres of music such as Jazz, Rock, R&B, Hip Hop and Soul.

 

In 2023 Colton signed to Needle Time Records,  a record label owned by producer Steve Keitt who wrote and produced the theme song for the hit TV show "Martin" staring comedian Martin Lawrence, and who has produced music for TLC, Kid n Play, Salt n Pepa, Debalah Morgan, and famed house artist Jay Williams.

 

The first single release from his EP, "A Letter For You" is entitled  "Good Wife" and will hit radio and all streaming services on May 09, 2025.  A mid tempo,  RnB dance song reminiscent of the "two step" feel good club songs that we know and love from the 1980's and 90's, this track is sure to take the top spot on your playlists.
